Comment: Ive recently upgraded my CPU from an old AMD Duron 700 (I think) to the Sempron 2800+ chip. On boot up, I get a message to reset my CMOS settings. Can anyone help me with these settings? Do I need to flash my BIOS?

Reply: (edit)cmos is a jumper on your motherboard its usualy located right above the power and reset wires its 3 lil pins with a jumper covering only two of the pins just turn your pc off make sure that the powercord is disconnected remove the jumper from the two covered pins and place move it up one pin it'll still cover two pins leave it there for like 3 or 5 seconds then place the jumper back on its orginal pins and start your pc back up again it'll go into your bios settings set your cpu speed and all that junk and bam your set or should be set

Reply: (edit)If you have an older BIOS, yes, it will have to be flashed to support the Sempron. I assume your board is the EPOX 8RGA+? http://www.epox.nl/english/support/bios.php
