Comment:

I've been having some issues with my system restarting for no reason.

I recently put this rig together and whenever I would try to run games or just browse on the internet after a certain amount of time, my PC suddently blacks out and restarts again.

I'm not sure what could be wrong. I find myself leaving the side of my case open to just keep the temperature ventallated.

My Specs:

Processor: Intel Pentium 4 HT 3.0 Ghz 800 FSB 2MB Cache
MB: P5ND2-SLI Deluxe
RAM: 2 Gigs Crucial Ballistix
Video Card: MSI GeForce 6800 GT Ultra (it has a lever and I tried moving it both to max and back to normal)

Please help with this issue. Thanks for reading.

Sounds like you have a weak power supply.

I'll also add about the temperatures I would see:

Temps:
CPU: 65c
MB: 40c

RPMS:
CPU: 2500-2800 rpm

Voltage:
V-Core: 1.23v
+3.3: 3.30
+5.0: 5.03
+12.0: 12.03

Hope that helps out.

Also for a Power Supply, I use:

ASPIRE ATX-AS600W-BL 600 Watts

I would think this may be a temp problem, altho the temps you post are fine maby its getting hotter under load ?

As jam stated a good PSU is important for a stable system. this one may just not have the ampage to keep up with your system

do you have any way of posting load temps when running a 3d app sutch as 3d mark 05

also whats a GT Ultra there are untras and GTs but i have never seen a GT Ultra

Do you have a link Looks interesting

Unfortunately I dont have a program that checks the Power Supply. If there's any links that provide something to check that, then please do.

Yeh, the GT Ultra was new to me as well. Apparently it has a level that increases the RPMS of the fan. So far games look Gorgeous with it.

I know there were issues with the Aspire 500W PSU. Something about the way it was rated...apparently the wattage & amperage were misrepresented, plus the voltage lines (especially the +12v) fluctuated out of spec causing reboot problems. I don't know if this is true of the 600W unit, but I know I'd never buy an Aspire PSU.
