Subject: Unstable CPUOS: Windows XP ProCPU/Ram: Intel Pentium 4 3E GHz/1 |
Comment: I have bought my CPU pentium 4 3E GHz with Gigabyte 8IPE1000 Pro-G mother board one year ago, It works well until one month ago, since a month ago my cpu is turned off in the middle of the operation usually when I use it very much, I also check my cpu temp, and it is normal, even I checked my motherboard and power supply and they are also working well. I dont know why the CPU is going unstable. If anyone knows the problem please let me know.

Reply: (edit)What do you mean by CPU unstable? Have you use that CPU in a known working computer and it does the same? What kind of problems you have? 1. Blue screen after couple hours? (during gaming?) 2. Frozen screen after couple hours? (during gaming?) 3. Games exit w/o any error message back to desktop and you can open again but it will jump back to desktop in 5-10 minutes.? 4. During booting to winxp, it will give u an error message? You need to be very specific in terms of unstable, because the crash can be caused by others like: lots of B.S.O.D likely to be RAM, lock-up during 3D games only likely to be video card...
