Reply: (edit)Even if you could unlock it, overclocking should be done via the FSB. The advantage of an unlocked multi is that you can lower it, then raise the FSB even higher. You're apparently striving for more overall MHz, but overall MHz doesn't necessarily equal better performance...higher FSB does Asus A7N8X-X 1800+ @ 8.5 x 200MHz 768MB PC3200 2.5-3-3-7 Asus A9550GE/TD 128MB WinME/WinXP Pro

Reply: (edit)yes interesting first of all thanx much for all your input guys secondly i would like youze to visit this link http://www.abit-usa.com/news/2004/20041109.php it might validate my reason for wanting to do this and also you may notice that my chip is on the supported list lol '' but yes DATA X i have thought about what you said and i cranked the voltage up on my ram a notch and things have stabilized some what but the temps well about 41 c at idle and 47 - 50 c under load of benchmarking and games wich arent that high but ive heard that mt chip has a built in safety net so maybe there is a way to shut that off '' becuase i get too a ppoint usually not too far past 3.755 ghz that i get a blue screen saying you computer has been shut down to prevent damage to harware or somthing like that i dont really know but i would love some more feed back on this thanx :) SWEETPEA
