hello guys, i have heard people said about unlock the chip but i don't know what does it mean and how it works.. can you guys tell me what does it mean and show me how to unlock my chip AMD 1.2ghz ???

Dont unlock you chip unless you can afford to lose it. I dont know but, you sound like you have never done and jumper welds or and board welds at all. You might frig up your chip hardcore. Read EVERYTHING you come across if you are going to do this. I strongly recommend that you dont till you have tried it on sheit computers

The Tom's Hardware URL's listed are probably the ones that I checked out when wondering how to unlock my Athlon 1Ghz. Yours is likely the exact same method as mine. And, it doesn't even require any welding, soldering, etc. Just a pencil and a magnifying glass. See the URL's above.

These people that have no idea what they are talking about are quite funny. Welding to unlock a processor? I don't that has ever been needed. Rich and Red Rider are right. You need a pencil, and those links are good help. A 0.5mm mechanical pencil is the best choice for doing this, unless you somehow find a smaller lead size. You also might want to find some tape so you can mask off the area you are working on, but if you have a steady hand you won't need to do that.
