Do a search on unlocking xp at the top of the page.Lots of info on the subject.Just did mine this morning.Make sure you have a loupe or magnifying glass.Don't jump into it if your a beginner.Check out the various links on how to do it and what you need. Then go for it carefully.

I can't stress research enough. If you don't do enough research, you are walking blindfolded into a minefield of potential (and expensive) problems. You might want to consider raising the FSB in your BIOS before you decide to unlock your CPU. If you try to unlock your CPU and you do it wrong, you can wreck it. If you up the FSB too far, chances are that your comp just won't boot, and nothing will be damaged. Just do it gradually, 1Mhz at a time until your comp doesn't boot up.

Also, install some temp monitoring software. Most of them sit in your systray and give you readings every few seconds. Most people prefer Motherboard Monitor. I like Vcool. Both are free to download.

All in all, do a lot of research. I researched the idea for a couple months, mainly cuz I don't have the cash to replace anything if I burn it out.

Just remember to take it slow, be careful, and don't overlook anything. Good luck.
