I am a computer tech and had a customer call Toshiba for help with system overheating and shutting down. They instructed him to upgrade the BIOS(not a good idea if shutting down). You guessed it, the BIOS became corrupted because the system shut down in the flashing process. The customer had spent $35.00 on the first call and after contacting Toshiba they said he would need to take the system in to an authorized repair center and will need to have the motherboard replaced. Sounds like Toshiba tech support is a bunch of idiots. The system will not power on for more than two seconds now and will not display anything. Tried to burn an iso of the BIOS but system shuts down right away. Does anybody know a way to correct this without mobo replacement?
