The thread below this got me thinking about Intels P4 thermal protect feature and after reading this, I'd say IMO the thermal feature was more of a marketing strategy to help sell those CPU's in higher numbers.
Granted throttling processors ensures CPU's not burning up, but common why should a processor cut back under normal load usage ever so often by as much as 33% or more, I mean we are talking 000's mhz here.
One more reason for me to stay away from those BBQ grills until Intels dumps em or figure things out.
