Comment:

I am running on an IBM ThinkPad A20m with a 500Mhz Celeron processor. I am wondering if it is possible to upgrade this particular processor to something a little fast without having ot upgrade the motherboard. Something is telling me I cannot do this, but I figured I would look into it just the same.
Thanks

Your options are very limited depending on what board and CPU socket you got in that machine, and 100MHz boost is not going to make your celly system respond any faster.

I don't like giving out not so good news but you need to get a new system or stick with what you currently have.

List of lists.

I was afraid of that. It's all good, I guess I will manage with the system working as is.

Thanks

why not go to www.ibm.com and see what your options are?

Rule #1 Good computers don't go down.
Rule #2 There is no such thing as a good computer.
