My pc is keep shutting down due to the thermal event.Some one told me to re-apply the thermal gel and reset the Mobo beacuse it is trip due to thermal event. Does anyone know how to reset the MOBO.
You don't have to reset anything. Just double check the fan on your heatsink to make sure it's working & that the heatsink isn't all dust clogged. If it is, remove it & clean it. The thermal material will have to be completely removed from both the heatsink & the CPU, then a fresh layer applied. A small dab about the size of a BB or grain of rice is all that's needed.
