Temps rise when idle????

OK, I am baffled at this and just wanted my concerns put to rest. I have a temp monitor on my case and......well the temps of my cpu rise considerably (10c) when it's idle and the screen saver is running (old matrix emulator screenie.) I'm NOT concerned because it normally runs at 41C as I'm using it but will jump to around 52C when just sitting there (again this is no biggie.) I just want to know if this is normal. As soon as I kick out of the screen saver it goes down to normal temps. And I've changed the screenie to the default XP shot and it's still the same so I don't think it's the screenie causing it. Any thoughts? OK, I have no real concerns, I just think it's weird. The system in my sig btw. ASUS P5GD1 P-4 3.4 SOCKET 775 1G Corsaire PC400 ABIT RX600SE 256MB PCI-E

That is strange...that this happens only while running a screensaver. Does your PC reach those temps while the screensaver is disabled entirely? (if you haven't tried to disable it and monitor temps for a long period of time..you should)
Also, your motherboard can have a faulty temperature sensor...that does happen. Are any problems of instability occuring?

i believe screens savers are still using the cpu, sometimes more then some programs.

screensavers still use the cpu I think. Maybe you have some sort of fan control active, and when idling, it slows down your fans, thus causing your pc to increase its temps?

Stop using the "matrix" screen saver because does not idle the CPU.
