Hello
I have just downloaded a program called SpeedFan 4.07. It says:

TEMP3 48C
HD0 46C
HD1 42C
TEMP1 40C
TEMP2 127C

I have also Hmonitor and Sandra installed on my computer. According to Hmonitor TEMP1 (40C) is mainboard temperature. When i go to BIOS temperature it's same there. I'm OK with my harddrives temperature.
According to Sandra my processors temperature is 127C and i'm thinking what the hell?
But this is NOT POSSIBLE, my processor would burn. I'm confused about TEMP3.
Can anyone tell me what's going on?

stick to the software thats close to your bios readings. Different software give different readings. And no...its not possible for your cpu to have a true temp reading of 127c and still run.

There are three types of sensors; Diode, Thermistor and Resistor. Most CPU temp is taken from Diode. In Hmonitor there is a check screen to select what you want. Sendra default setting from one of the two software you installed. Hope this helps.

I don't know about P4 chips but I kow AMD chips don't start to fail untill they reach about 95C

And for the problem I found on my K7S5A that the diode readings were usually about 70C off on the high side, while the thermister readings were dead on.

I've had an Athlon 1400 running Seti@Home 24/7 for about a year now at 68ºC and that's a rock solid system, goes for months without needing a reboot.
