but a guy using quad core extreme with same mobo he said that on hardfourm read this below
have the DP35DP board now and a QX6800 (retail boxed) CPU.
My plans are to replace my current system with this set up.
My current system is an Asus A8N32 SLI deluxe mobo with an AMD64 X2 4800 cpu.My hope is that this new Intel system will be notably faster than my current AMD system.
My question to you guys is this:

Generally speaking, Intel boards aren't designed for overclocking. It even says that in the hardforum thread that you referred to:
http://www.hardforum.com/showthread...
Why would you want a board that doesn't have a tweakable BIOS? You'd be better off getting a P35 based board made by Asus, DFI, Gigabyte, or some other manufacturer that supports overclocking, memory tweaks, etc. Tom's Hardware just did a review a few days ago, but these boards are EXPENSIVE:

How about this Gigabyte board for about $100?

i dontcare overclocking never did and will never do i got this intel mobo i guess i will buy quad core 6700 but intel website says i need a new version of bios for this processor now if i dont have that new version will my mobo let the this prosessor run or not i need to install vista and then update bios i cant odo before installing vista coz im a noob when its come to flash bios updating or other method the one more reason i got this intel mobo coz intel new mathod to isntall bios under window its very easy and i didnt find any mobo who let me install bios update under window with installation utility

OK, so you already have that Intel board but no CPU?
Do you realize that a "QX6800 (retail boxed) CPU" sells for over $1000?? The Q6700 (2.66GHz) goes for $540. The Q6600 (2.4GHz) is only $280. Why pay an extra $260 for a mere 266MHz increase in clock speed?
If you were to bump the CPU freq from 266 to 296Mhz, the Q6600 would be running at the same speed as the Q6700. And if all other things are equal, it *should* actually perform better due to the FSB increase to 1184Mhz.
Oh yeah...you don't overclock.

still dontcare over clocking and if i do i need to learn alot and also neeed better clocking not interested in over clocking if i need better cpu i will buy.
