I have a problem, i have a new computer and like its running 1 mhz faster then its suppose to. I think its 2170 mhz but its at 2.171 mhz. Its runnig at about 70 degrees and its very very hot. I think i can blow it up, cuz its overclocked by 1 mhz. Do i neeed watercooling or something? Some people at this hospital think so. PLz help me

Are your sure your speed determination is correct; what I see from your speed is a 1 thousnadths differance(perfectly normal). As for, your heating issue.... We need more specifics, i.e. power supply size, memory type, what kind of hardware. Maybe you can try 2 case fans on your tower(1 pulling air in,1 blowing air out the rear; cool air in, hot air out) you can check to make sure your using heat sink compound(just a drop will do, and clean and replace heat sink compound everytime[thin light film]) maybe check to make sure your processor fan is rated for your processor type and speed(if so maybe go to a better one such as a thermaltake or such rated for your processor)

By the way, I've come to find out that with AMD processors a light coat(thin Film across the top of you chip in the center of your processor is correct, but don't forget to also apply the same to the little lip all the way around also) not oozing just a thin light coat all the way around. I did this when having my problem and the temp dropped 9 degrees celcius

by the little lip all the way around I meant the chip in the center. 5 exposed portions 5 portions to disapate heat or create it
