I am having a serious system problem. The monitor just goes on blinking and there is no output on the scrreen. The red light (indicating processing is going on) always glows.

There is no beep sound.

I don't know what the problem is , since I can't see anything.

I had the same issue after switching CPU's.
Make sure you have the CPU fully seated.
My systems are all slot 1 and this is sometimes querky with seating fully.
Let me know if this helps.

Your computer’s symptoms are nonspecific and many things could cause this behavior.

What was the last thing that happened with it before you noticed this change?

you have probably set the multiplier or the FSB too high. If you set it too high trying to overclock it too much sometime it won't even post which is the delema you are in now.
Next to your processor there will be a little plastic clip making two metal pins in contact. Take this off then reboot. This should clear your bios settings.
If that doesn't work.... TRY THIS!!

1. unplug your power cord to your power supply.
2. open the case.
3. look for a small circular battery somewhere on your motherboard. This is the battery that keeps your bios settings when the power goes out. Sometimes it's next to your PCI slots.
4. take the battery out.
5. with the battery out and with the computer unpluged turn on the power button to clear the power left in the capacitors. You should see a light or hear a fan come on momentarily.
6. put the battery back in, plug it back in, and power it up!!

THERE YOU GO!!! now it works!!! Just remember not to set your multiplier or FSB that high again!!

There are a lot of things that can keep your computer from posting. BIOS corruption is only one of them but POWER USERs advice about resetting the BIOS is easy and may just work.

If it doesn’t, unless you can think of any recent hardware changes, tear your computer down to your HDD, one stick of RAM, your display adapter and your CPU. Check all connections on the MOBO and see if you can boot. If not, swap out different pieces of the computer (RAM, display, CPU, PSU, MOBO) to see if you can get it back.
