hello I am using a asus a7n8x-x motherboard with a athlon xp 2500 cpu and 2x 512 ddr apacer ram (pc3200 / 200mhz). When I set my cpu external frequency at 166, the system halt, and when I set it at 133, it looks fine. The fact is when i set it to 133 my cpu speed reduced to 1900, I want to maintain my cpu speed at 2500, what should i do?

I think you're confused about AMD speed ratings...
The actual speed of a 2500+ is 1833mhz (11 x 166), not 2500mhz. I don't know how you're arriving at 1900mhz @ 133? IF anything, it should be 1467mhz (11 x 133) & recognized as a 1700+

166 mhz fsb would be default for the Athlon 2500 (1833 mhz). Something isn't working right if you can only go to 133 FSB with pc3200 ram. On my MSI board with pc3200 my Athlon 2500 runs at 2.2 gigahertz with the fsb set at 200.
