Hi,
I've OCed my 2500+ to 11x200Mhz for a few days now.. games and applications are working great, Only sometimes i have crashes.. sometimes when i'm just surfing a bit on the internet it just reboots! now warning or shutdown messages, just Poof! a black screen and it reboots..
I have this 3~4 times a day
Is this problem relateted to my CPU OCing?
my Vcore is now 1.65 wich should be pretty stable (Vcore on default settings 14x133Mhz is 1.45)
Any help would sure be appreciated:)

The problem is most likely your vcore setting, its to low.
Run prime95 stress test to insure that your cpu can handle any thing thrown at it. If you get errors while running prime95, stop the test and raise vcore a .25 volt then start prime95 again. Keep doing this until you reach atleast 8 hour prime stability (meaning no errors).
I have a 2600 mobile 215x12 @ 1.9 vcore and i did not reach 8 hour prime95 stability until i hit 1.9 on the vcore.
Make sure your watching temps.
huh?

Hello,
First of all i take it your CPU is a "mobile" becuase you stated that the Vcore is 1.45v ..also there is no default settings for a "mobile" CPU because mobo's dont recognise them. What you do is set it to 166 x 11 @ 1.45v Vcore... that is the default for a desktop xp2500 apart from the Vcore for which is 1.65v.
As to your problem..... well not all cpu's are the same and as you have done the same as alot of people do with the xp2500..(run it xp3200 speeds @1.65v)..Not all of them like the 1.65v Vcore and what you have to do is up your Vcore slightly to say "1.7v" and although your memory is rated at DDR400 i would raise your memory voltage by 0.1 to help make it stable....
Also what are you memory timings set to...? becuase that can make your system crash also..?

My 2500 mobile is running 210x11 with a vcore of 1.6v.
Primed for 8hrs.
The next time it crashes, check your temps in the bios.

Here are my memory timings:

FSB:DRAM 1:1
CAS#Latency 3.0 clocks
RAS#toCAS#Delay 3 clocks
RAS# Precharge 3 clocks
Cycle Time(Tras) 8 clocksMy Mobile's default is: 133x14 instead of 166x11.. But with same Vcore (1.45)
A 2500+ mobile should run stable at 200X11 @ 1.65v.. mine still wasn't stable at 1.75v

Btw,
How can i change the memory voltage?
I have a DDR Reference Voltage setting in my BIOS, is says 2.6V.. is that it?

just a quick question to indigian.
i notice that your system is very simular to mine, did you have to do anything to your memory jumping from 200x10 to 210x11.

No.
Everything is stock, apart from the vcore.I lowered my multi down to 8 then upped the fsb in 4mhz increments.I got it to 214x8 Primed for 7hrs.
There seems to be a problem with the 10 & 10.5 multi's.
So I went back to 200x11 and started upping the fsb slowly.I got to 210 it did not like going much higher. It would but I do not want to give it to much vcore.

I have my memory timings on optimum
They are at 3.5.5.9 at the mo
When I was using 200x11 the timings were at 3.4.4.8

So u think i should raise my ram timings to 3.4.4.8.. but what about the ram voltage.. 2.6v 2.7v or 2.8v??

Hi,
What Memory you running as in make..? Because generally the lower the number..the quicker your memory runs.. so if you have cas 2 memory you need to lower it ...to give you an example my memory timings are 11.2.2.2 . If your memory is branded (corsair/ocz/kingston/kingmax)i would set your timings at 6.3.3.2. and your memory voltage to 2.7v.Going back to your problem...looking at your existing timings..i would'nt say that was
your problem... personally i would look elsewhere... try raising your Vcore to 1.675v or 1.7v and test your stablity (but keep an eye on your temps).
Another cause of random crashes is a faulty psu or not enough power...........

Well.. Changed PSU 3 times allready, tried a 450W, 300W and a 500W but still keeps crashing.. also raised Vcore to 1.80v and was still crashing... it's also crashing at stock mode (133x14 @1.45v)
