Subject: Sys leveled out O/C completed
OS: XP Pro
CPU/Ram: XP2100+/5121ddr 333
Comment:

Well, I got my cooling problem resolved; not enough hs compound.
Next, I got my O/C completed and tested tell me what you think; considering I was unable to increase vcore or mess with multiplier; not supported on board.
AMD XP2100+ was @ 1734MHz now @ 1915MHz
FSB from 133 to 147 ( any more video won't boot
memory clock From 133 to 166 (done by SPD auto)
sys temp. 35c @ idle 37c @ full load 6hr.
cpu temp. 49c @ idle 53c @ full load 6hr.

Video TI 4200
scored 10849 @ 250 core clock & 500 memory clock (factory defaults)
NOW:
scored 11204 3D Mark 2001 SE
@260MHz core clock
& 550MHz memory clock (any video suffers)
Did I missed anything? Any comments or suggestions being that this is my first real race horse (all 233's - 550's in the past)

By the way I'm running a ECS Elitegroup L7VTA mobo

By the way I have these settings in my bios but they didn't seem to change anything; does my processor need to be unlocked for them to work?

CPU Voltage Adj. (Normal,+1.1%,-0.6%,+2.3%)
DIMM Voltage Adj. (Normal,+9.8%,-2.8%,+6.4%)

Or do I have to disable this so I can Manually configure (sure was easier with jumpers)
Atuo Detect DIMM/PCI Clock (Enable/Disable)

As to the 3dmark score I thought it was relatively low to your settings. Or maybe I'm wrong but I was able to get my MX440 to somewhere near 7500 by simple tweaking without overclocking my processor I did however overclock my card.

300/475

and from that overclocking experience I found overclocking memory provide little gain in score instead it was the 10-11% increase in GPU speed that dramatically brought up my score.

Another thing I was going to mention is in the newer drivers maybe 40.72. The
Application -- Balance -- Aggressive settings appears. By sliding the scale to Aggressive I received 1000 or 1500 extra points I did a while back so I can't remember but it was a big increase gotta be over 1000.

Thanks J5im8yo, I am already set to aggressive w/41.09 driver and I had to drop my Memory back to 540 to clear up an issue at 1280x1024; my current scores are as follows:

12590 @ 800x600 32bit
10890 @ 1024x768 32bit
8944 @ 1280x1024 32bit

Maybe I got a bum card; not to mention; I already had to send away to Tt for a new HSF for this card. Only had 3 months hadn't o/c'd at that point when the fan started acting up. They wanted me to send it in and weren't gonno guaranty a replacement card. Oh, did I mention it may have took up to 2 1/2 months to get it back....Should have bought that ATI 9700, maybe next month!!
