sync memory benefits?

Hi. I was wondering which are the real benefits from running memory in sync with the cpu on amd64 processors. The thing is that I have 1gig (2x512) of pc3200 buffalo ram (3-3-3-8) and my cpu (3700+ sandiego) overclocked to 2,815 mhz, so I have to run on a 1/0.8 divider to get my ram at 200mhz. Well the thing is that for 20bucks I have the chance of changing my ram for 1gig (2x512) of the OCZ premier series (2.5-3-3-7) that the anandtech guys tested in their "memory round up" and found out that the ram was capable of 240mhz without loosing timings. To run in sync with the OCZ premiere ram I would have to lower my cpu to 2630mhz, but i'm cool with that since although 2,820mhz have been 12hour prime stable it still does make me a little uncomfortable, so I'm probably gonna lower that frequency a little anyways. Do you think it's worth the 20bucks?

btw...
as I said I overclocked my san diego 3700 to 2815mhz and it has been rock stable.
I would really aprecciate your opinion on this overclock (safe, not to safe, not for long term, etc).
The cpu is voltmodded to 1.525v (from 1.4 default), and the stock temps are 45 full load, and the overclocked temps are 52 full load (these are the SUMMER-DAY temps).
Summary: Actually CPU cache usage is independant of the application as its managed within the cpu itself without outside interaction other than the x86 cache instructions that all cpus use already. So there i...

Summary: I have 2100+ 266Mhz FSB (obviously) and Corsair DDR400. Right now I have FSB at 133 and the ram at 133. I already know running the ram at 200 is dumb, but is running it at 166 (and putting the timin...
