Hi. Yesterday i've made a small upgrade to my computer. I had a phenom 9650 and changed it for a phenom 9950 Black Edition and removed one of my two dvdrw IDE drive for a dvdrw SATA drive. The problem is that, now I am unable to use windows. The computer loads windows normally, but after loading windows (maybe one or two minutes) the computer shutdowns.

What might be the problem? help please...

P.S. My Motherboard (ASUS M3N-H HDMI) is compatible with the cpu 9950BE. My Power Supply is an Eurotech modular Pro V70 900W (so I think it's not an energy problem)
I also have two HDD in RAID 0.
Ah...and even in safe mode the computer shutdowns itself...the crazy m.f.

More than likely you didn't install the heatsink properly & the CPU is forcing a shutdown before it burns out.

A few stupid questions for you:

1. why are you running RAID 0?

2. why would you waste your money on another CPU for a meager 300MHz gain? Yes, I realize the multi is unlocked & *should* be able to overclock better. Still, in my book, it was a waste of money.

3. why are you running DDR2-800 instead of DDR2-1066?

Good question. He should be running that Phenom at DDR2 1066 so that the rams bandwidth runs nsync with the cpu's memory controller bandwidth.

Regarding the RAM i've got Corsair Dominator 1066MHZ...but the system doesn´t boot when running at 1066MHz....it seems my motherboar isn't quite compatible with corsair dominator...unfortunately i found out that after buying the stupid RAM...I don't think the computer shutdowns itself because of the temperatures. Everest is showing me temps of 44-50 degrees, which is not much for this CPU...
