Hello,
I have a HP Pavilion dv6000 notebook.
My exact CPU is:Centrino Duo T2050 @ 1.6Ghz (2 CPUs)
My question is if I have 2 cpu's then the combined speed is 2.4Ghz?
The reason I am asking is that I want to run some software and the min requirements are 2.2Ghz. I am wondering if my system is capable of handling this.

To start with, Centrino is the name of the hardware package, NOT the CPU. The CPU is a Core Duo T2050 which is basically a dual core Pentium-M (which is basically an advanced P3). Each core runs at 1.6GHz...they are not combined.

2.2GHz what? P4? The Pentium-M is more efficient than the P4. It's said that a 1.6GHz P-M is roughly the equivilent of a 2.4GHz P4. All you can do is try it see how it goes...I don't think you'll have a problem.

Summary: AMD performance rates it's speed in comparison to Intel's P4, but the actual clock speed is lower. An XP1700+ performs as good as a P4 1.7ghz, but at a clock speed of 1.47ghz (11 x 133FSB). Your FSB i...
