well i have a socket 754 and i need to upgrade to a better one. can a am2/am2+ work or fit? or my motherboard is to old. can someone help me i wanted a x2 processer.

You can't put an AM2 CPU in a 754 socket. X2s are only available for Socket 939 and AM2(+). The fastest CPU your board supports is the 3700+. They're probably quite expensive, being the fastest CPUs available for that socket. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure this stuff out. - socket 754 CPUs fit in socket 754 boards - socket 939 CPUs fit in socket 939 boards - socket AM2 CPUs fit in socket AM2 boards Do you detect any type of pattern?
