Taskman shows CPU is only being utilized 5-10% but system running very very slow, when you close a window it deletes pieces rather than the entire window. When I put the hard drive into another PC it runs fine. I am looking for software that will check my CPU to see if it is running at the proper speed. Thanks

Yes - The hard drive runs fine when I install it another PC. thats why I am thinking the problem is with the processor or the motherboard. I.E. when close a window - it dissappears in sections very slowly - left column first then center column, etc - Can a processor go bad in way that it still processes instructions but at a much slower speed? Again I am looking to software that test the processor. thanks

The fact that you can stick your HD in another PC and it works suggests that you maybe don't have appropiate mobo drivers,chipset drivers,graphics card drivers etc?

Is the other PC identical?
