My computer is running very slow in some areas. Such as Outlook E-mail scanning and internet searches. I tried disc clean ups, defraging and running anti trogan sw and anti-virus sw ad aware and spybot. They all turned up negative..
Does anyone have some suggestions.
I also ran PC PITSTOP and the analysis is listed below.
Your day job is safe

You could always go for a fresh install of Windows. That would be the safe bet. But that's up to you of course.

Sounds tempting. Would I loose my data if I were to preform a fresh install?
Is there a program that goes in and analizes my system and gives me choices on fixing the problems?
Thanks again
Johnathan

I'd go into start > run > msconfig > startup and uncheck every box that is there. Then reboot and see if the computer speeds up again. If it does, you need to figure which of the programs you unchecked was the culprit. If it doesn't, go back into msconfig and recheck all those boxes you unchecked and reboot and no harm done.

Also go to trendmicro.com and do a free online virus scan.

You have several apps running when you start up. Click on start, click run, type msconfig, then click on startup tab and uncheck the following:

qttask.exe QuickTime Icon

mm_tray.exe MusicMatch tray icon

MDM.EXE Debugger

ctfmon.exe Office XP speech

jusched.exe

UltraMon.exe

UltraMonTaskbar.exe

Ati2evxx.exe

WISPTIS.EXE

Click Apply, then click OK. It will tell you to restart, after restart you will get a message letting you know you made changes, check the little box that says do not display message. then click OK.

By doing this I know you will see a performance increase!
