I've been having a strange problem with SIGXCPU. We're running listproc on this server and it keeps getting signalled with SIGXCPU even though there is no limit set on cputime:

/local/server> limit
cputime unlimited
filesize unlimited
datasize unlimited
stacksize 8192 kbytes
coredumpsize 0 kbytes
vmemoryuse unlimited
descriptors 256

In spite of this, the server receives SIGXCPU and exits. Does anyone know another reason (besides rlimit) that this signal might be generated?
