You shouldn't have to overclock your system for a while. I mean your 3500+ will run just about any program in the wolrd today smoothly.

My advice is to not overclock your system, unless your system is becoming outdated to the point where your hardware can no longer run smoothly with newer programs like it used to.

Remember, if something goes wrong with your system and you send it back to the vender under warranty and they find out you overclocked their piece of hardware, they will deny you of your warranty and send the damage piece right back to you.

That is why it you really have to know what you are doing before overclocking. If I was you, I'd go out and get a cheap 50 or 100 dollar pc and try to overclock that for testing purposes, before overclocking a system like yours and risk destorying something on it.
