If I set the temp on my amd athlon 64 x2 6000+ to 1.3 as opposed to the standard 1.4 volts with the speed at standard 3 g will that make any difference in the performance? No OC'ing.

I think you're asking about voltage? If you undervolt your CPU, it *may* not be stable...you won't know until you try.

Yes I was talking about voltage and not temp. I set mine to 1.3 as opposed to the 1.4 standard and the unit seems to very stable and with an added bonus of about 8C less than with the 1.4. I have notice no instability at this voltage. But one of my previous question will there be a decline in performance as long as it is stable?
If you're not changing the CPU clock settings, how would performance be affected? It's still running at the same speed, just at a lower voltage, right? Your only concern should be stability.

Summary: Your cpu temps are within limits. 1.4 Athlons run the hottest of any AMD cpu's. They also consume the most power. This is normal. Invest in a inexpensive front and rear case fan and set it so the rear...
