Comment:
Hi.
I have a Sempron 2600 on a Gigabyte 7N400L mainboard. I've recently installed Motherboard Monitor and the sensors indicated 71 degrees celsius on the CPU and 44 on the case.
Can it work normally under this conditions or should i consider changing the coolers (CPU -> titan 4100 rpm, case -> titan 2500 rpm)?
Please help..

What is the room temperature?

Does the CPU temperature stay the same when you open the case?

Are you using the AMD stock cooler and did you install it properly?

Sounds like you have a high 44C case temperature from either bad air flow or room temperature is extremely high...

I agree with TMP-Man...

You should verify your temps in the BIOS rather than relying on software. Also, what BIOS version are you running? There have been numerous updates & one of them corrects temp reading inaccuracies. F11 is the latest available at Giga-Byte.com...& you should be running version F11 with a Sempron.

Also, GigaByte provides it's own software for hardware monitoring (EasyTune). Give that a try too.

But if you have the latest BIOS & the temp readings are confirmed, you should rethink your case cooling setup & possibly try removing/cleaning/reinstalling your HSF with a fresh layer of thermal paste...apply as per these instructions:

Thanks a lot for your replies.
I've cleaned the coolers and left the case opened.
I've also instaled easy tune and killed some procces and services. Now it indicates 40 on the case, 59 CPU and 38 HDD. I think it's rather ok during this hot summer days..
