Weird problem, I run an abit IC7 - G with a segate 120g sata hard drive, i used to have the system at 233 fsb before the sata so i know all the current hardware in there can perform at that speed, but now when i tried to up the fsb it does not detect my sata harddrive. I am fairly certain i have the latest bios updates as well. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

I'm pretty sure that it is your
northbridge/southbridge (i forget which is
responsible for sata) that is overheating, i
have read into this a little and found that
most people cure this problem by moving the
heatsink from their northbridge to their
southbridge (usualling attaching it with
thermal tape as there aren't usualy any holes
for it) they then put a bigger HSF on their
Northbridge (which has holes for it)
I know this info is a litle sketchy but is
all I can remember, can anyone else help?
Merry Christmas!

Completly not the case it turns out when i reset my bios i had forgotten that the PCI/AGP/CPU ratio was changed off of fixed which caused the sata drive to run out of its frequency when overclocked and sata is run off the south bridge but it defiantly was not over heating.
