Is there a difference in Non-ECC and ECC RDRAM when used with a dual P3 933 Slot1 133MHz bus system? Can Non-ECC and ECC be mixed on the same board (i820 chipset)?

As far as I know, you can't mix ecc and non-ecc, but I don't have any experience with rdram, as I avoid Intel like the plague.

I am an AMD adherent. [grin]

You can't the ecc/non-ecc in sdrams, so I presume the principle holds with other types of ram.

I recently looked into RDRAM and found that it doesnt matter about the ECC or non-ecc if one is ECC and one is Non-ECC it will run in Non-ECC. ECC has to do with error correction and really doesnt make a difference. Although RDRAM has to be installed in pairs. For instance I have 2 64mb PC800 modules and 2 256mb PC800 modules. So when buying it make sure they are the same speed (PC800) or which ever you have and make sure you buy 2
