Gee, let me think...it worked OK before the overclock, but after the overclock, it's unstable. What could be the cause? Hmmmmm....

sorry once you start oc you never go back. it works fine if i go fron 2.8 to 3.0 but anything above that is crap. i ran burn in tests with no errors for 15 minutes

Don't mind Jam. He would probably ask if you locked down your PCI when you "i overclock my computer with cpufsb."??? You don't say nothing about it, if you did. Did you?

yes i did yoyo...it worked fine up to 3.0 ghz but anything after that was unstable....maybe a voltage issue? also...when i shut down my computer the fsb settings are gone when i start up.

Voltage is always a possibility. What FSB are you running at to get it to 3ghz? You might try stepping up the voltage in your processor one step and if that don't help, try stepping up the voltage in the ram one step. Are you running at 100 bus speed. 3200 ram can handle 100X4=400FSB + a little more. Depends on the quality of the ram though.

i cant adjust voltage with the crappy HP bios for the p4sd-la board. i can only adjust fsb with software and i have it set at about 215 up form 200 to get to 3 ghz. maybe ill just give up and wait till 2.8ghz is slow and just build a sweet computer
