Solved Random DDR2 Freq Changes?

Specs: Wind 7 home premium 64-bit, q8400 c2q@2.66
hello all-
i just recently got some help to configure my CPU for my first OC!
everything seems fine, tests are all good, temps, freq[s], and voltages area ll good and stable, except for ONE thing:
two of the last 5-10 times i have booted[cold boot], my DRAM frequency changes to 960! it should be @800[CPU is q8400 @400x8, DRAM ratio=1:1 - and shows in bios as "Adjusted DRAM Freq=800]
of course it doesnt boot correctly and then tells me that my latest OC attempt has failed!
idk what the deal is - when i check the BIOS settings everything is correct and unchanged!
the only thing i can think of is that i set my DRAM voltage to 1.80 [what it should be, both board [p43 neo3-f] & RAM [mushkin enhanced silverline, matched sets] so i tried setting it back to auto/default to see if it makes any difference... any ideas? anyone else experienced this type of issue?! ONLY FROM COLD BOOT, and there are never any other issues, all stress tests and memory tests have completed with ZERO errors...

✔ Best Answer
Replace the CMOS battery in case it is loosing settings when you power down.
Make sure again that your DRAM Ratio is correct as well as all of your other settings and make sure you Save and Exit. Restart and try things again.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
