Geez, will you get rid of that friggin piece of crap 64-bit/DX7 video card?? You have a *reasonably* good system, but that low end card is just dragging your system down!

Are you overclocking your RAM along with your CPU?

You have your RAM listed as "Crucail XMS PC3200 CL2", "1Gb Crucial XMS PC3200CL2", but in your post, you call it "Corsair XMS pc3200". Obviously it's Corsair XMS & since you list as CL2, that it what it should be timed at. I have no idea why CL2 RAM would be defaulting to 3-4-4-8. It should be 2-3-3-6.

Assuming you are running 1:1 for FSB:Memory, then 3-4-4-8 sounds right for your corsair memory at 233Mhz... You can only run 2-3-3-6 at 200Mhz default...

I'm planning on getting an antec take 4 case with a p5w dh & E6700 (though the quatro's look like the might be prime for audio workloads). I'm going to be loading the case into a flight case so i can go around the country with it, so i cant be loading up the aase with water cooling and all that jazz... I plan on using a zalman 7500 or 9500, but i have yet to conclude that such a piece of hardware is fully mobile...

My main concern is noise... I dont want to hear the zalman fan or PSU's, so I can't use high speed fans, so I can't overclock very high...

My question is two-fold

what should i overclock the E6700 to, and for such a frequency, what would be the best ram and ration to use with such a setup?

thanks for all the help

-john
