1. Ramsinks are unnecessary & a waste of money.

2. You should ask about the videocard BEFORE you buy...but the 9600Pro is a decent midrange card

3. There's no "program" to overclock...you just start raising the FSB a little at a time

4. I'm an AMD guy, but from what I've read in this forum, the stock P4 HSF is supposedly a very good unit

Well, as far as RAM heat spreaders/sinks, or whatever else they've cooked up for cooling RAM, they do almost nothing. Heat isn't what limits RAM's capabilities, it never builds up a enough heat to overheat anyway.

As for the 9600, I dont know too much about its overclockability(real word?), but I'd say its definately a good buy. You get a good bang for your buck with the 9600 series.

Silly me, i forgot to say WHAT to use for tweaking that 9600, I'd reccomend downloading the Omega Drivers ( www.omegadrivers.net ). They have built in overclocking features along with many other performance things. Thats what I run with my 9800pro =D

man 3 post in a row...looks bad..

If you overclock with the Omega drivers you wont overclock anything other than your videocard's GPU and memory. I'd also like to add that ATItool(which comes with Omega) is a good program for helping you find out what speed is stable and doesn't have artifacts(errors due to overclocking)
