RAM overclock question

In my advanced chipset options I set my host clock to HLCK+33. I have 512mb mushkin enhanced pc 2100 ddr and the timings are 2-2-2. It is supposed to run at 266 mhz but I changed the settings to make it run at 333 mhz. I am confused about this RAM stuff. I thought that I had to overclock my CPU with the front side bus to change the frequency of the RAM. Could anyone clear this up for me? My motherboard (MSI KT3 ARU) supports 333mhz RAM so I would like to "overclock" my RAM to make it run at that. If anyone could help me, thanks in advance.

You OC your ram from 266 to 333? I wouldn't expect your ram to last very long. Do you know they sell 333mhz ram? Why don't you go pick some of that up and OC the 333 ram. I've OC my 266 ram to 300mhx before but it wasn't stable, I couldn't go higher than 285. But if it works and you don't mind buying ram in the near future go for it.
