Hey, If iam increasing the speed of my FSB, do i need to install Heatsinks for my ram? Iam trying to increase my FSB clock from 133mhz(266mhz) to 166mhz(333mhz) and need to know if i need heatsinks for the ram. I have 512 DDR PC2100(266mhz) Corsair Brand Ram

RAM heatsinks actually do little to help cool the ram, they'd drop it maybe one of two degrees. The only good thing about them is they usually absorb the heat from the RAM, while it doesn't cool it much, it will prevent damage to the RAM in some cases.

you don't need ram sinks for speeds under 400mhz.

If you have a side case window I say go for the sinks, it'll make your setup look perdy. ; )

This is a little bit off topic, but I have heard that adding Ramsinks to your Video Card RAM may actually hurt the cooling performance? Any ideas/theories about that?

I'm not sure of the context of what you heard, but when there is litle or no thermal transfer material between the sink and the chip, the sink can become an insulator.
Ramsinks ususally are just pressed up against the chips, so they may harm as much as help.
You'd think someone would come out with a $15 kit for people who don't mind voiding their warranty which contains 25 mini heatsinks with thermal adhesive and you just stick 'em throughout your system.
