Hi guys do you think that E6850 3.0GHz can defeat Q6600 2.4Ghz processor? If E6850 can defeat Q6600 then i will buy E6850 because those processors are at same price $266.

Quad core vs Dual core i wonder?
Quad core Q6600 all the way, better over the long term when quad core is more widely surported!

Depends on the app. Most games will run slightly faster on the 3.0GHz E6850 than they would on the 2.4GHz q6600.

But mid- to high-end content creation applications will prefer the q6600.

I guess which chip is best for you really depends on what you plan to use your computer for.

I'd personally take the q6600 processor. Of course, I plan to play Crysis. That's my main reason. ;-)

Quad Core would be the best way to go.
