Hi everyone, i'm just trying to overclock my Q6600 and i cant seem to get it stable at 3ghz, anything under that i can get almost stable, i am using my computer to game with and after about 40mins-1hr 30mins it seems to error up, i had my settings at

3.0ghz
CPU multi 9
FSB 333
800mhz RAM
1.3250V

when i go higher i have about the same results, but from looking at other Q6600 overclocks thats a stable clock speed

Are you running the RAM at DDR2-667 speed (333MHz) to match the CPU frequency?

Have you tried increasing the CPU voltage? Intel lists the voltage range as 0.85v - 1.50v. Since you're at 1.325v, try adding another 0.025v & see if it stabilizes. If the problems persist, add another 0.025v & try again. Keep increasing in 0.025v increments until you can get it to run stably.

fine temps for the quad. what motherboard are u using? q6600s are very picky with chipsets. mine for example refuses to go above 2.9ghz (at least with perfect stability) regardless of voltage, multipler or otherwise.

Core 2 Quad q6600 2.4GHz@ 2.9GHz 323x9
MSI P6N-FI nforce650i Mb
3GB OCZ RAM DDR2800@645
2x250GB HDD in RAID 0
2xDVD-RW
Foxconn 8800GTS 320mb 630/1410/1840
ATI TV 550pro
FSP 700w

Try this, don't raise the cpu voltage, dont' overlock RAM and push for 3GHZ. It worked great for me, cool and stable. But i am not running overlockd now because it is unecessary.
