PWM temp suffers while CPU benefits

PWM stands for pulse width modulation, and refers to a few small MOSFETs near the CPU socket that control the voltages to the cpu and other circuitry. Generally regarded as a prime candidate for extra cooling. Well, I upgraded my CPU heat sink to a AeroCool tower that consist of three heat-pipes. The air flow of the tower directs air from the front of the case (aka dead zone) through the fins and out the back through my back case exauxt fan. So, one can see my problem instead of the traditional cooling method where air is blown directly ontop of the cpu heatsink, thus resulting in the PWM area to be cooled as well. I have now a stagnet air pocket in the PWM area, so naturally my temps increased there, 56+*c, A ten degree jump since I installed my heat-pipe tower (which btw, works great and keeps my CPU at 52*c at max load). My question is how can I get extra cooling in that area?? I have one 12cm fan in the front cooling my drives, one 8cm Fan on the side panel suppling cool air to my RAM and heat-pipe sink, another 8cm fan on the vent at the very bottom keeping my video card cool, 12cm exasht fan at the back of the case and finally one 8cm fan on the very top of the case that helps keeps the PSU very cool. Is there a simple solution thats has not crossed my mind yet??

After some research, I found that I can just cut up a spare heat-sink into smaller sections and glue (thermal epoxy) the mini heat sinks to the MOSFETs! Of course this would be PERMANENT, unless I could use a dab of super glue on the corners with artic silver 5 in the middle, (AS5 in not conductive). Or I can always use thermal tape/pads. This would result in a cleaner regulation of the voltage... woot!!

That all i have done, cut up a few heatsinks and used thermal tape works great.

Good to see a few of us pay attention to the pwm circuit.

Google "lazyman" for more info. That old bugger understands pwm (and most other things) better than most.
