PSU with 2 fans - which way?

I've got one of those Power Supplies with 2 fans in, one (fan 1)obviously points out the back, but the other (fan 2) can obviously be in either direction depending what way round you place the PSU in the case. The thing I was wondering is, is Fan 2 supposed to face towards the CPU? This is how mine is and I was just wondering if this fan2 is cooling the PSU or cooling inside the case? Is it ok to be configured in this way?

The fan on the rear of the psu is sucking hot air out.The inner fan on the psu is doing the same. It's as it should be.It's pulling hot air away from the cpu and out of the case.

Due to the mounting hole configuration, most PSUs can only bolt in one way...try to flip it another way & the holes won't line up

Well one fan at the bact sucks out the hot air and the one at the bottom should blow cool air in

Kim, power supply fans always draw air out of the case.
As a rule of thumb, front fans draw cool, outside air into the case, while rear fans exhaust the warm air from the case.

A dual fan psu is there to assist in the overall airflow circulating through the case . Most systems these days have a intake fan in the front ( most likly the bottom where cold air resides) and one or two fans in the back (most likly at the top, cause hot air rises) for exahst.
We only buy hardware so we can run software on it.
