processor speed on new processors

Specs: Windows Vista
similar problem as Danny8434. QuickBooksPro says minimum 2.0GHZ to run the program. Most of the reasonably priced lap tops & ultra books (which i would like for traveling--I'm kind of old) have max 1.8GHz. with the new processors, could the program run with less than 2.0?

The CPU speed recommendation is merely a general guide based on the performance of CPU's when the software was written. With more modern CPU's the recommendation has little meaning.

QuickBooks probably wants a 2GHz Pentium 4, which is much slower than the 1.8GHz Core i5s in Ultrabooks. You have nothing to worry about. :)

HTPC/file server | Pentium M 780 @ 2.82GHz | 4GB | Radeon HD5750
120GB SSD + 2TB/3TB/4TB | Blu-Ray/HD-DVD combo drive | Win8 Pro
