I have MSI K7N2 DELTA-ILSR motherboard, now i want to upgrade to a newer processor; Can anybody please guide me as to which processor to buy. Plus can anyone please tell me whether or not my motherboard would support Sempron 3100+ or amd 64 processors. I have about 140 dollars to spend. I thankyou for your help

Sempron is amd's answer to competing with Intel's celeron chip. In other words its a lesser chip than say the destop XP bartons. Amd Mobile chips are the same as their desktop models but with a unlocked multiplier, meaning that it can be overclocked quite well. My overclocked 2600 mobile runs at 2585 mhz. with a FSB bus of 430. For 100$ A stock 3200xp runs at 2200 mhz with a FSB of 400. For 135$ You said you have 140 dollars for a cpu.
