Processing power robbed!

Specs: Windows XP
AAAH! This is the THIRD TIME! I installed norton 360, and, after a painstaking proccess, removed a virus, W32.Virut.CF. Then, when I booted up my flight simulator, It ran very slowly. When I booted a game such as Star Wars Jedi Knight 3, however, it ran as usual. This leads me to think that either the Vius or the Antivirus did something to my processors or is hogging them.

What kind of specs are don't even know which CPU(s) you have? What about the RAM & make/model of the motherboard? The X1300 is a very weak card, if your gaming sucks it's because the video card sucks. Have a look at the following chart & see where the X1300 ranks:

Dump Norton & get a decent antivirus program.

any account his resources are being sucked up and most likely by a resource robbing Norton anti virus.
Norton is a resources robber period, every puter I have ever installed drops like a rock.
I recommend A.V.G 8.0 yeah it still uses resources but you have a choice of whether it uses a lot or a little when you install it.
