Hey guys, i'm having some serious problems with my XP2000+, no matter what I do I can't get it to run at at 1.667 mhz, i can only run it at it's minimum which is 1250 mhz.

Here are my computer specs:

Windows 98se
AMD XP2000+
ECS K7S5A mobo
512 Sdram

I have a great fan but I think my heatsink is a little lacking. I tried updating my bios to the latest version and everything, nothing seems to work

I'm thinking maybe it could be a power supply, heatsink, or mobo problem? What do you guys think, I really wanna fix this BS.

133 x 12.5 or 12 should be it in the BIOS. If you tried this maybe your ram is not compatible with the processor external clock of 266. Make sure ram doesn't have mixtures of 100 and 133.

Look's like a FBS problem look to set to 133 mhz (133x2=266 mhz.)

Ben Rogers Power Supply & Ram got nothing to do with a lower clock speed but only when you get problem like bleu screen , freeze , rebooting by it self , etc...then it could be the PSU or RAM and even overheat problems.
