Hello. Well, I just bought myself a new CPU. I unplugged the old one (A T-bird 750 mhz), and put the new one in (A t-bird 1100 mhz), the machine started, the BIOS showed up, but then it frooze, and I restarted, but now nothing happens...the monitor stays blank.

I don’t know that MotherBOard and I’m at work where all I have is a dialup connection so I can’t download the manual (plus the ASUS site is on-again off-again).
There may be jumpers that you need to set on the MOBO for this CPU but I bet that you could solve your problem if you downloaded the most recent BIOS version for this board and installed it using the slower CPU.

I just discovered that my MOBO only supports up to 1 gz, and my new CPU is 1,1 ghz. Is there anything you could do to make it support that extra 100 mhz ? I downloaded the newset BIOS drivers and installed them.
Anyway, how come it showed up in BIOS the first time I ran the new CPU, and now nothing ?

Sorry! When I get home I’ll try to download that manual. I’ll post back if I come up with anything.
Got to get to work otherwise I’ll get into (more) trouble.
