problems overclocking 2500+ barton

CPU/Ram: 2500+/1.00GB

when i try to overclock my cpu the screen will just go all black and windows wont boot up.
any suggestions?

before adventuring into overclocking, hope you did some research and not just go big on the FSB and multiplier...that's just asking for trouble....ditto on #1 response...need more details
memory and motherboard, for example

AMD is locking their multipliers now and there's no way to unlock them..lol

Now AMD is just like Intel except they really suck.

As long as you're not doing anything stupid and you are upping FSB in stages try raising the voltage a bit.
