You just posted about this a few days ago....you should stick to one thread.

The PSU you bought is overpriced crap. APEVIA used to be called ASPIRE but they developed such a bad rep that they changed their name.

Did you look at the specs before you bought it? 40A on the +5v rail? 38A on the +3.3v rail? These amperage ratings falsely pump up the overall wattage rating of the PSU. And the amperages on the +12v rails exceed the ATX12V spec (18A limit), but that's not necessarily a bad thing...it depends on the gauge of the wiring used. And depending on how they did the calculations, your PSU has a realistic rating of between 350-450W. Plus it has 3 fans? It must be a loud SOB!

You never did explain exactly what your overclock settings are & what Windows is reporting the CPU speed as....

If your PSU pops & takes down your whole system, don't say you weren't warned.

As for you CPU overclocking, how are you going about it? I think we kinda went over this in your other post, but you should keep the CPU:DRAM frequency ratio at 1:1. I assume you're overclocking by raising the CPU freq from 200MHz to 230MHz? *Most* DDR400 isn't capable of running at 230MHz.

If you're attempting to overclock by raising the CPU multi from 17.0x to 19.5x, I doubt it will do anything because the multi is probably locked at 17x.

And about the CPU speed being reported as 3.39GHz in Windows...it's possible that your board underclocks the freq slightly. For example, 200MHz may actually be 199.5MHz, in which case your CPU would run at 3.39GHz.

Try using CPU-Z to see what it reports.

Dude, you constantly make general statements. We need specifics. What does CPU-Z report?
