i have an aopen ak75 mobo [sis 745 chipset]and am having trouble reading temps. i have an amd xp1600[1.4ghz] running at 1.71ghz. in the bios, i have the tempature set to shut off the motherboard if the cpu tempature reaches 60C. when i run motherboard monitor 5, it starts beeping saying im at 70c. how is this possible? if mbm5 reads tempatures from the bios, than why isnt my computer shut off? i have heard lots of stories about inaccurate bios readings, but how is this possible, does anyong know any other good software tempatue monitors? hardware monitor came with this motherboard, but it says motherboard not supported.

i know this is a pretty big overclock, but how can i tell what my cpu temp is running at? is it mbm5 thats messed up or am i overclocking too much??

oh yeah, in the bios when i check the cpu temp is between 37-49 [was 43C on a hot day after running for several hours(87 degress in room]. i know this is not max load but it shouldnt raise more than 10C max under 100% cpu usage.

thanks for any help.

first THING,

I have receieved several emails with virii from you. with that same email address that you have. (what are you doing)
I replied and you said that you don't know how it was sent. A liitle more explantation please.

And as for your problem

I think it has to do with MBM. The temps in the bios are often most accurate. Didn't your board come with it'so own monitor program.

I think the bug bear got a hold of every yahoo account out there .It has landed in all of my email accounts The email return was spoofed because the person it was claimed to have been sent from doesnt have @callwave account .It is always best to scan and turn off the preview pane. This is the only one I have recieved since I stopped posting my Email address at this site.
So someone is gathereing email addys here. Be safe and dont post it.
