Prescott running at 81 oC!

I also have high temperatures with the P4 Prescott, reported it all at Motherboard Monitor
It is running 81 oC with no problems. Intel documents are really not giving any shutdown temperatures. Has anyone actually seen the CPU throttling back? Reading this forum, some report shut down's with much lower temperatures than my machine. I get the idea the temperature diode on the chip has a low accuracy, or a bad connection to the Winbond chip.
Meanwhile, i did underclock to 75%, no effect at no load but 5 oC less at full load. Bios has the same high reading. This board has no reports on this problem.

Well, i found a discussion at AnandTech and someone had it throttling at 70 oC. So my CPU's temperature diode has an error of at least 11 oC.

I tried to calibrate the CPU diode using the silentpcreview article, run it at different FSB speeds from 150 to 200 Mhz. At the end of the test, the temperature was 88 oC. Still no throttling! So i'm proud to announce I have the hottest working PC around!! (I'll put the test results over there)
