Hello all! I have a serious problem....my computer keeps turning itself off randomly during whatever Im doing, and then restarts itself. Sometimes it restarts itself over and over again, moments after it has just restarted. Also occasionally when it restarts
it tells me that "overclocking has failed". I have changed the PSU thinking it might be that but there is no change. Im not brilliant at the technical side of computers to say the least and it looks to be fairly expensive to hire a professional. Any help or suggestions would be very much appreciated! Cheers! Dom

Computer Specs: AMD64 3.0ghz, 1024 RAM, 120gbHDD, G-Force 5200, XP Home Edition

I don't see a power supply listed in your specs? Brand, wattage, amount of amperage on the +12 rail(s)?

Have you gone to System Properties > Advanced > Startup & Recovery > Settings & unchecked the box next to "Automatically Restart"?

500W means nothing. Amperage on the +12v rail is critcial. The power supply should be a quality unit made by a reputable name brand manufacturer & should conform to the latest standard (ATX12V 2.x).

I decent 500W unit should cost no less than $50, & even that is cheap....$75 is more relistic

Not a PSU brand I would consider (200W @ +5v rail......skewll) but it appears to be OK for more than a few other users.

"Specs for this PS cliams to be rated at

+3.3v rail 30a
+5v rail 40a
+12v rail 20a

Which is higher on the +12v rail than the other Cheap 500w Ebuyer Psu's.

The Voltages are Close enough under load tested with a Digital multimeter.
+3.3v @3.2
+5v @5.15
+12v @11.8

Seems very good will Let you know if it Blows up"
